The U.S. Air Force has awarded Raytheon (NYSE: RTN) a $386M contract modification to manufacture, integrate and sustain Paveway laser-guided bombs.
The award provides a total package acquisition approach for countries that want to procure the weapons under the Department of Defense’s foreign military sales program, DoD said Wednesday.
Work will also involve studies and integration efforts.
USAF initially awarded a $110M indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract in August of last year and the modification brings the cumulative IDIQ value to $496M.
Modern variants of the Paveway family of weapons feature global positioning and inertial navigation systems.
According to Raytheon, military customers used the bombs during Operation Enduring Freedom, Unified Protector and Operation Iraqi Freedom.
