Raytheon Lands $317M Award to Deliver More AIM-9X Block II Missiles to US Service Branches, Allies

    A Raytheon Technologies (NYSE: RTX) subsidiary has received a $317.4 million contract modification from the U.S. Navy for AIM-9X Block II air-to-air missile production Lot 23 in support of the Air Force, Army and foreign military sales customers.

    The award provides for 290 AIM-9X Block II and 181 Block II+ missiles, captive air training systems, containers as well as other related kits and equipment, the Department of Defense said Thursday.

    Raytheon Missiles and Defense will perform more than half of its work in North Logan, Utah; Tucson, Arizona; and Linthicum, Maryland, while the remaining will be conducted in various states and continental U.S. locations.

    Lot 23 production and delivery is expected to wrap up in August 2026.

    Air Force missile procurement funds for fiscal 2021 to 2023 and FMS customer budget will be used to obligate over $300 million to Raytheon at the time of award.
