Raytheon has received a $90 million contract to produce a new multi-spectral targeting system variant for the U.S. Air Force.
The AN/DAS-4 MTS sensor works to provide soldiers with intelligence data derived from aerial tactical sensors to help them detect and engage airborne targets, the company said Friday.
AN/DAS-4 has a three-color diode pump laser rangefinder/designator, target tracker system, four cameras that cover five spectral bands, laser-based search, a track tool and an automated sensor.
Raytheon has delivered at least 3, 000 MTS platforms that were used onboard fixed-wing planes, helicopters and unmanned aircraft.
