The U.S. Army has awarded Raytheon (NYSE: RTN) an $87.3 million modification under a foreign military sales contract to advise and assist the United Arab Emirates on the deployment and operation of the company-built Patriot air defense system.
Raytheon will also provide advisory and assistance services for planning, training, maintenance and sustainment efforts related to UAE’s Patriot system, equipment and logistics support elements, the Defense Departmentsaid Friday.
The company will perform work in UAE through July 31, 2021.
The Army Contracting Command will obligate the full amount of the modification from fiscal 2017 “other” procurement funds.
