Raquel Bono
Raquel “Rocky” Bono, a retired U.S. Navy vice admiral and former director of the Defense Health Agency, and Constantine “Costa” Saab, former chief strategy officer of the CIA, have joined the board of directors of LMI.
Bono and Saab are widely respected leaders whose “cumulative public service, domain expertise, and management acumen will profoundly inform LMI’s strategic planning, ensuring that we are prepared to help government overcome increasingly complex challenges,” LMI Chairman Ken Krieg said in a statement published Monday.
Bono, a three-time Wash100 awardee, retired in 2019 after 40 years in health care administration and military medicine. She was appointed by Washington Gov. Jay Inslee in March to lead the state’s COVID-19 health system response initiative. She also serves as senior fellow at the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory.
Saab spent nearly two decades at the CIA, where he also served as acting assistant director and corporate board member. He is a managing director at private equity firm Valor Equity Partners and a non-resident senior fellow at the Atlantic Council.
