Thakkar will oversee the day-to-day operations of the military training and simulation software developer and explore potential market opportunities for the business, BISim said Tuesday.
He previously managed cloud-based simulation and geospatial services during his two-year stint at AWS.
From 2015 to 2020, Thakkar held executive roles at Boeing (NYSE: BA) with a focus on infrastructure transformation, information technology and digital analytics and commercial cloud-based products.
