Q.E.D. Systems has landed a potential $237.6 million contract to help the U.S. Navy plan the maintenance and sustainment of the service branch’s Littoral Combat Ships in the West Coast and East Coast regions as well as outside the contiguous U.S.
The company will also obtain long lead-time material needed to maintain and sustain the vessels, the Defense Departmentsaid Wednesday.
The contract has an initial value of $15.1 million and the base period of performance will run through June 2019.
Eighty percent of work will take place in San Diego and the remaining 20 percent in Virginia Beach, Va.
The Naval Sea Systems Command received one offer for the contract via a competitive solicitation on FedBizOpps and the service branch will obligate $25,000 at the time of award.
