Pratt & Whitney, a United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX) subsidiary, has received a $313.9 million contract modification from the U.S. Air Force to help maintain F119-PW-100 engines.
The Defense Departmentsaid Friday the contract covers necessary parts for engine sustainment.
Work will occur in Connecticut, California, Alaska, Hawaii, Utah, New Mexico, Virginia, Nevada, Texas, Oklahoma and Florida through Dec. 31, 2017.
The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center will obligate $51.4 million at the time of the award from fiscal 2017 operations and maintenance and research, development, test and evaluation funds.
The service branch previously awarded Pratt & Whitney a $317.8 million contract modification for F119 engine maintenance in January.
F119 engines serve as fifth-generation fighter engines that power the Air Force’s F-22 Raptor aircraft.
