Peraton Unveils Mobile Robot Systems Subsidiary; John Coleman Quoted

Peraton has integrated and launched Remotec as its subsidiary focused on providing mobile robotic systems for hazardous operations.

John Coleman, president of global defense and security sector at Peraton, said in a statement published Thursday Peraton Remotec‘s performance in unmanned ground vehicles complements the government technology services contractor’s 25 years of experience supporting government clients in unmanned surface, ground and underwater domains.

“We look forward to building on the synergies to meet future unmanned system needs while continuing to innovate on behalf of our loyal customers in the military, law enforcement and the broader first responder community,” Coleman added.

Remotec was part of Northrop Grumman’s (NYSE: NOC) information technology and mission support business that Peraton’s private equity owner Veritas Capital acquired through a $3.4 billion cash transaction in February.

Peraton Remotec also introduced its Andros Spartan UGV, which features updated system electronics and power management system, manipulator controls and ruggedized touchscreen laptop operator control unit with 3D system graphics. The UGV system integrates the chassis design of the Andros F6 series and has a new arm design for greater dexterity and lift capacity.
