The new Peraton company has secured a potential $443.8 million contract to provide information technology platforms and support services to U.S. Strategic Command.
The U.S. Air Force formally awarded the Stratcom IT Capabilities contract to HP Enterprise Services, a legacy Herndon, Virginia-based contractor whose series of merger deals led to the formation of Perspecta – now part of Peraton .
Under the five-year contract, Peraton will help the command build mission-critical systems and applications at Offutt AF Base in Nebraska.
A Department of Defense notice says work is scheduled to occur through June 30, 2026, and no funds will be obligated at the time of award.
The former enterprise services segment of Hewlett Packard Enterprise (NYSE: HPE) provided IT support to Stratcom before the unit merged with Computer Sciences Corp. to form DXC Technology in 2017. DXC spun off and combined its U.S. public sector business with Vencore and KeyPoint Government Solutions in 2018 to create Perspecta, which Veritas Capital acquired in May 2021 for integration into Peraton.
