Peraton has received a potential four-year, $109 million task order to provide the U.S. Cyber Command with cyberspace operations support services needed to help boost the Department of Defense’s cyber expertise.
The company said Monday it will work to bolster DOD’s capabilities and operations in cyberspace by supporting Cybecom’s Directorate of Operations as well as the Cyber National Mission Force and Joint Task Force ARES.
Efforts under the COSS task order are intended to assist the command in operating, defending and ensuring the security of the DOD Information Network.
Tom Afferton, president of Peraton’s cyber mission sector, said the company and the department continuously collaborate on cyber-focused initiatives. He added that Peraton’s full spectrum cyberspace operation capabilities and expertise enable it to support Cybercom’s efforts to protect the domain and ensure national security.
The task order was awarded under a Cybercom indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract.
Since 2019, Peraton and the command have been in partnership to support national security mission.
