Peraton Secures $196M Army Contract for NETCOM Global Cyber Center Support

Peraton has received a $196 million contract from the U.S. Army to provide operational and cybersecurity support for the Network Enterprise Technology Command’s Global Cyber Center, or GCC.

The company said Wednesday the award aims to help the Army advance its digital modernization efforts and improve the country’s cyber defense posture.

“This work is about enabling mission readiness, protecting national security, and delivering resilient, real-time cyber capabilities to the warfighter,” said Tom Afferton, president of the cyber mission sector at Peraton.

“We are honored to support NETCOM and the Global Cyber Center as they protect the Army’s digital frontlines,” Afferton added.

What Is the Scope of the Army NETCOM GCC Contract?

GCC under NETCOM serves as the Army’s central hub for cyber defense and network operations. Operating around the clock, it coordinates with regional cyber centers to enable mission command and protect the Army’s enterprise networks.

Under this contract, Peraton will consolidate and streamline cyber defense activities in support of GCC’s mission. Work includes operating and securing the Army’s NIPRNet and SIPRNet environments; maintaining enterprise-level infrastructure; and supporting software, hardware, applications and systems across the Department of Defense Information Network, or DODIN.

The contract also covers support for the GCC point of presence in Southwest Asia and future mission expansion to meet emerging operational needs. The company will also provide personnel and services to operate and manage DODIN systems.

Peraton has supported Army cyber initiatives since 2012, working closely with NETCOM and Army Cyber Command. Through its continued collaboration with NETCOM and GCC, the company aims to strengthen the Army’s digital backbone and ensure operational readiness across all domains.
