Paul Strasser, who has served as president of Brillient over the past year, took the helm of the Reston, Va.-based government services provider as CEO.
He succeeds Sukumar Iyer, who aims to continue driving growth initiatives of the company as its executive chairman, Brillient said Monday.
Previously, Strasser was executive vice president of Data Systems Analysts’ information management solutions business and led that group’s operations in the federal, state and commercial sectors.
He also led Project Performance Co., which he joined upon its acquisition by DSA in 2017.
Strasser worked as software and systems engineer within Lockheed Martin’s (NYSE: LMT) missiles and space business segment earlier in his career and later held leadership roles at Titan Corp., Pragmatics, Dynamics Research Corp. and Engility.
In the same announcement, Brillient noted that retired U.S. Army Lt. Gen. Randy “RJ” Kolton will serve as chief growth officer and be responsible for its corporate growth strategy and business development lifecycle.
Kolton is former senior VP of information technology consulting firm Synectics for Management Decisions. Before that, he held executive roles at Kolt Business Solutions, DSA, Ideal Innovations Inc., L-3 Communications Services Group.
He served in staff and command positions at the Department of the Army, U.S. Central Command and White House during his military career.
Brillient also named Richard Jacik, formerly a principal of IMI Services, as general manager for the health sector business. He previously helped spearhead federal health operations at Acentia and CGI.
