He has more than 21 years of experience in defense contracting, having started as a senior systems engineer at BAE Systems in 2003.
Sartorius spent four years at BAE before starting in a similar role at Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) in 2008. He was senior manager of business development at the company when he left to join Vricon Systems, now part of Maxar Technologies (NYSE: MAXR), as vice president.
In 2016, he was appointed as vice president of U.S. government programs at Altamira Technologies. The executive stayed with the national security services provider until 2018.
Sartorius has a bachelor’s degree in geography, major in remote sensing, from Missouri State University. He also has a master’s degree in public administration from American University.
