Paul Damphousse, a 22-year U.S. Marine Corps veteran and former chief of advanced concepts in the Department of Defense’s National Security Space Office, has joined Spire Global as senior director of national security business development for its federal group.
He brings three decades of leadership experience in the strategic business development, operations and legislative areas to his new position, the company said Tuesday.
“Our objective is more complete with the addition of industry thought leaders like Paul Damphousse, said Keith Johnson, vice president and general manager of Spire’s federal group.
Damphousse served as a combat pilot and space operations officer at USMC until his retirement from the military in 2011. His industry career included roles as director of flight operations at Paragon Space Development Corp., senior director of business development at SES’ government solutions unit and CEO of General Astronautics.
