Patrick Kumashiro
Patrick Kumashiro, a 27-year veteran of the U.S. Air Force, has joined LMI as director of the nonprofit management consulting firm’s USAF market.
He succeeds Patrick Mahoney, who transitioned to a new role as leader of LMIs support work at the Office of the Secretary of Defense, and will oversee a portfolio of advisory, analytics, logistics and digital service offerings for USAF, the company said Friday.
Kumashiro most recently ran a company that offered consulting services to the government sector and served as principal adviser for a customer in USAF’s office for installations, environment and energy.
His public-sector career concluded in October 2016 after four years of service as chief of maintenance division at the military branch’s logistics directorate.
During his tenure at the USAF headquarters, he managed requirements for weapons system readiness efforts, modernization, force structure and guidance for aircraft sustainment operations.
He also supervised more than 3,000 logistics officers along with 65,000 enlisted personnel.
