As the new technology VP, Fredericks will oversee GDIT’s enterprise IT offerings, including independent research and development and delivery efforts. He will also lead the company’s growth strategy in line with its digital modernization efforts. The executive will also focus on enhancing business operations through the use of artificial intelligence for IT operations, or AIOPS. Furthermore, Fredericks will also oversee IT service management, systems engineering, networking and infrastructure.
Who Is Patrick Fredericks?
Fredericks is a seasoned executive with almost 25 years of industry experience. He has been with the Falls Church, Virginia-based company for over four years. He most recently served as senior director for over three years. He started his GDIT career in 2020 as a solutions architect, tasked with supporting program launches, implementing ITSM enhancements, driving growth and contributing to program recovery efforts within the defense sector.
Before joining GDIT, Fredericks spent almost two decades at Bechtel. He was a program manager for over six years supervising a cross-functional team responsible for emerging technologies and innovation. The GDIT executive briefly worked as a business development manager, where he was responsible for marketing and business development efforts within the Department of Defense and intelligence sectors.
The Bechtel veteran also served for over three years as a project engineering manager, leading a team responsible for mobile telephony and IT. Fredericks also worked as a network engineer, field IT specialist and project IT associate.
