Parsons Govt Arm Wins $953M Contract to Build Air Base Defense System for USAFE-AFAFRICA

Parsons‘ (NYSE: PSN) government services business has won a 10-year, $953 million contract to build, operate and maintain a layered base security system for U.S. Air Forces in Europe-Air Forces Africa.

The company will employ air base air defense equipment at various U.S. military installations throughout the European and African continents, the Department of Defense said Wednesday.

A performance work statement stated that the ABAD effort will have three phases encompassing system development work at the Ramstein Air Base in Germany, air defense systems and operations support for RAB and provision of the same capability to additional bases within European Command and Africa Command areas of responsibility.

The program sought persistent cross-domain technology to strengthen the deterrence, survivability and defense posture on U.S. military bases within the two international regions.

DOD said the 764th Enterprise Sourcing Squadron received four offers for the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract via a competitive acquisition process and will obligate $2.8 million in initial task order funds along with the basic contract.
