Parsons Secures $185M Contract to Update Space Force Situational Awareness Platform

Parsons (NYSE: PSN) has won a potential $185 million contract to help the U.S. Space Force update a government-owned software suite that supports situational awareness efforts at the Department of Defense and other federal agencies.

The Space and Missile Systems Center’s special programs directorate awarded the cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for information technology engineering and support services to the Integrated Solutions for Situational Awareness platform, the company said Monday.

Under the five-year contract, Parsons will aim to develop scientific and technical applications that can help government users characterize space vehicle launches, manage command and control satellite transmissions, determine orbital accuracy and manage space asset functions.

The ISSA platform supports more than 5,000 defense and civilian classified network users.

“We are proud to support SMC in their mission to deliver resilient and affordable space capabilities by continuing to provide our specialized operational and technical expertise for ISSA,” said Rich Aves, executive vice president of Parsons’ space and geospatial business unit.

The contract has a base performance period of one year and four one-year option periods.
