Parsons (NYSE: PSN) has received a potential $590M contract from the General Services Administration to provide cyber capabilities for the Department of Defense, functional and geographic combatant commands and federal civilian agencies, Fifth Domain reported Wednesday.
Paul Decker, executive vice president and head of cyber and intelligence business at Parsons, said the Combatant Commands Cyber Mission Support contract aims to serve as a œmultiuse contract in support of DoD and interagencies within the department.
œThe contract, the way it was structured was to be able to develop and deliver capability multidomain capability across the services, both defensive, non-defensive capabilities, as well as open-source, intelligence analytics through this contracting mechanism, Decker added.
A source said the CCMS contract seeks to offer cybersecurity-related tools, training, test and evaluation, research and development support.
