Parsons has purchased Chantilly, Va.-based technology services contractor OGSystems for an undisclosed sum in a move to deepen expertise in geospatial intelligence and big data analytics.
Chuck Harrington, chairman and CEO of Parsons, said in a statement released Monday the company™s strategy is focused on disruptive technology platforms built to support mission-oriented initiatives across defense, critical infrastructure and intelligence sectors.
œThe actionable intelligence that geospatial imagery and data analytics brings to Parsons™ portfolio through OGSystems is a game changer, Harrington added.
Established in 2004, OGSystems provides geospatial software and related systems, cloud engineering, threat analytics platforms and hardware systems such as PeARL family of sensors to defense and intelligence agencies such as the National Reconnaissance Office, National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency and Special Operations Command.
Goldman Sachs & Co LLC and Latham & Watkins LLP advised Parsons on the transaction, while Miles & Stockbridge P.C. and Baird, Ropes & Gray LLP served as OGSystems™ advisers.
