Weber brings to the federal solutions advisory board three decades of government service, including a five-year stint as assistant secretary of defense for nuclear, chemical and biological defense programs, the company said Monday.
He also served as an adviser for threat reduction policy within the Office of the Secretary of Defense from 1996 to 2009 and helped coordinate the Obama administration’s global response to the Ebola virus disease outbreak in West Africa.
Weber will advise Parsons on federal market growth areas including cyber and intelligence and space and missile defense.
Varos, on the other hand, is a 30-year veteran at IBM (NYSE: IBM), where he served as global managing director for the health care sector and global vice president for government.
He most recently worked as managing partner and senior vice president for the health care and public sector industry at information technology infrastructure services provider Kyndryl.
At Parsons, Varos will help refine the strategic direction for strengthening the U.S. critical infrastructure.
