Palantir Technologies (NYSE: PLTR) will provide software and digital platforms to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention under a five-year, $443 million contract.
Contract work will include the integration of technology into an enterprise system to help federal and private sector stakeholders gain a common operating picture of national public health initiatives, the company said Wednesday.
The shared infrastructure will include CDC’s Health and Human Services Protect, Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response Engage, Tiberius and DCIPHER platforms.
Palantir will additionally implement software in the National Wastewater Surveillance System to support wastewater genomics.
“This contract solidifies the important digital advancements in public health made during the pandemic and expands the CDC’s capacity to create a sustainable and long-term approach beyond COVID-19,” said Hirsh Jain, head of public health at Palantir’s federal division.
