Ensco said Monday that Webster is an aerospace and defense sector veteran who established Orbital Sciences — a space and rocket systems manufacturer that merged with the former ATK aerospace and defense groups in 2015 to form the company now known as Orbital ATK.
“Scott has made pioneering contributions to our industry and has a track record of assisting companies with strategic growth,” said Greg Young, chairman of the board at Ensco.
Webster previously held leadership roles at the former Orbital Sciences company’s satellite data communications unit and rocket system division and was part of the group that built the space launch vehicle Pegasus.
He is also a former chairman of board at MBDA Inc., the multinational missile manufacturer’s U.S. subsidiary.
