OpenGov, a provider of cloud enterprise resource planning software for state and local government agencies, has acquired software company ProcureNow for an undisclosed sum as part of a push to expand its portfolio of offerings.
San Francisco-based ProcureNow is a small business providing software-as-a-service offerings meant to help agencies streamline workflows and manage contracts and other government procurement operations, OpenGov said Wednesday.
ProcureNow’s Government Procurement Automation Cloud platform helps local government agencies develop solicitations and source bids and enables vendors to understand and respond to requests for proposals.
Zac Bookman, co-founder and CEO of OpenGov, said both companies share the mission to help government agencies become more accountable and OpenGov has the vision to deliver cloud platforms to public sector organizations.
“When we first started working with ProcureNow, it became evident that our values, culture, and products were strategically aligned. Together, we look forward to modernizing our nation’s digital infrastructure,” Bookman added.
Redwood City, California-based OpenGov provides cloud-based software for public sector budgeting and planning, financial management, reporting and citizen services.
