NVIDIA’s Anthony Robbins: Government Can Harness AI Through Data, Training, Computing Systems

Anthony Robbins, vice president for the North American public sector at NVIDIA (Nasdaq: NVDA), has said the federal government should make contributions across data, computing infrastructure and training areas in order to harness the potential of artificial intelligence.

Robbins wrote the U.S. government should train engineers in data science and deep learning as well as advance data collection efforts and make datasets more available to help agencies generate critical insights.

Federal, research and university computing systems should be updated to provide data scientists with tools to build up and field AI capabilities, he noted.

According to Robbins, the technology has potential applications in cybersecurity, sustainment of defense platforms, disaster relief, health care and fraud prevention efforts. He said the company promotes AI development through its graphics processing units.

He also stressed that a White House executive order, which seeks to advance investments in AI-related research, reflects the œfederal government™s commitment to utilizing this revolutionary technology to better the lives of citizens across the country.
