Nutanix has received “in process” designation under the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program for a cloud-based technology platform designed to help government customers manage workload, including sensitive agency resources.
The company said Wednesday it moved one step closer to securing FedRAMP authorization at the moderate level for its Xi Government Cloud offering composed of the Xi Frame desktop as a service and the Xi Beam cost management tool.
IT modernization and cloud migration remain two major challenges for federal agencies, but the ability to monitor cost optimization and compliance should not be added obstacles, said Chris Howard, vice president of public sector sales at Nutanix.
Howard added the company aims to provide a hybrid cloud environment for public sector clients to process and secure enterprise workloads.
Xi Frame operates within the Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure regions designed for U.S. federal, state, local and tribal agencies while Xi Beam works to help organizations address cloud security challenges.
