The Joint Artificial Intelligence Center has awarded NT Concepts a spot on a potential five-year, $241.6 million basic ordering agreement to support a program aimed at preparing Department of Defense data for use in AI applications.
NT Concepts said Tuesday it will support JAIC’s Data Readiness for Artificial Intelligence Development program, which seeks to facilitate access to data preparation services, tools and related capabilities to support a range of AI and machine learning activities.
The DRAID program covers data ingestion, labeling, feature engineering, AI security, data representativeness and synthetic data generation.
“We understand the unique and complex challenges in readying and operationalizing data for advanced AI/ML systems,” said Chris Powell, chief technology officer at NT Concepts.
“The DRAID program offers us a greater opportunity to help develop and deploy ethical, purpose-built systems at the speed of the DoD mission,” Powell added.
JAIC will use the generated data in the cloud-based platform, Joint Common Foundation, to enable agencies and users across the intelligence and defense communities to build AI platforms in a secure environment.
