Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC) received a one-year, $163.6M contract to provide a range of support services for the U.S. Army’s fleet of MQ5B Hunter drones.
The company will help the military branch operate, engineer, reconfigure and maintain the unmanned aerial systems as part of the cost-plus-fixed-fee award, the Department of Defense said Friday.
Army Contracting Command solicited one bid for the work and will obligate $41.8M in fiscal 2019 operations and maintenance funds at the time of award.
Contract work will occur in Sierra Vista, Ariz., through May 9 of next year.
Hunter UAS is fitted with multiple sensors and designed to transmit intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance data in real time via a wideband tactical common data link.
