Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC) has secured a $117.3M contract option to provide hardware for AN/APR-39 radar warning receiver and electronic warfare management systems to the U.S. Air Force, Army, Navy and foreign military sales customers.
The exercised option covers D(V)2 processors, antenna detectors, radar receivers, low band arrays, battery handle assemblies and upgrade kits, the Department of Defense said Thursday.
Other hardware include digital receiver processor circuit card assemblies as well as radio frequency distribution, dual down converter, quad receiver exciter and low voltage power supply CCAs.
The company will also provide technical engineering, logistics and management services for AN/APR-39 systems and associated hardware.
Fifty-three percent of work will take place in Illinois and the remaining 47 percent in Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, California, Colorado and other locations within the continental U.S.
Naval Air Systems Command is the contracting activity and Northrop is scheduled to complete services in August 2021.
The Navy awarded a $125M initial contract to the company in September 2017 for the production and delivery of AN/APR-39 systems.
