Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC) has received a potential five-year, $1.31B contract to develop, produce, modernize and sustain LITENING targeting pods for the U.S. Air Force.
Work under the sole-source indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract will take place in Rolling Meadows, Ill., through Dec. 31, 2023, the Department of Defensesaid Friday.
LITENING is equipped with multiple sensors and designed to help aircrews identify targets at a long range. U.S. and international military customers use the pod on the F-16, EA-6B, F-15E, C-130 and F/A-18 C/D platforms.
