The U.S. Army has selected Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC) and Global Military Products , a division of Global Ordnance, to compete for orders under a $133.9 million special ammunition and weapons system production contract.
Army Contracting Command received two bids for the firm-fixed-price contract via an online solicitation and will determine work locations and funding upon the issuance of task orders, the Department of Defense said Wednesday.
DOD expects the contractors to conclude work by Nov. 19, 2024.
Northrop and GMP hold positions on two previously awarded contracts worth $1.2 billion combined to supply special ammunition and weapons systems to the service branch.
The contractors were selected for a potential $750 million contract in January 2022 and a potential five-year, $490 million contract in November 2023.
