Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC) has received a potential $124.7 million contract from the U.S. Navy to assemble, fabricate and test equipment for the AN/APR-39 Radar Warning Receiver program.
The Defense Departmentsaid Thursday the company will provide engineering, management and logistics support for the development of 127 D(V)2 processors, 462 D(V)2 antenna detectors, 290 D(V)2 radar receivers and 121 D(V)2 low band arrays.
The contract also covers the supply of 168 D(V)2 battery handle assemblies, 20 D(V)2 circuit card assemblies, 40 C(V)2 processors, 63 C(V)2 antenna detectors, 131 C(V)2 radar receivers and 19 C(V)2 upgrade kits.
Northrop will deliver the equipment to the Navy and U.S. Army as well as Japan, Austria and Canada through the Pentagon’s foreign military sales program.
The Navy also asked the company to build two test stations in an effort to address AN/APR-39 fielding requirements.
Work will occur in California, Colorado, Illinois, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania and other locations within the continental U.S. through February 2020.
