Northrop Grumman‘s (NYSE: NOC) innovation systems segment has received a $173.7M contract modification from the U.S. Army to supply M1156 kits designed to transform artillery projectiles into GPS-guided weapons.
The service obligated the full amount at the time of award from its fiscal 2019 “other” procurement funds, the Department of Defense said Thursday.
Work will occur in Plymouth, Minn., and is expected to conclude by Nov. 14, 2022.
