Paducah Infrastructure Support Services Contract Details
The DOE said Thursday the Alaska native owned small disadvantaged business will conduct surveillance of the Paducah site and perform the necessary maintenance, repair, construction and replacement services. North Wind will also provide custodial services, including grounds maintenance, snow removal and pest control.
In addition, the Idaho Falls-based small business will provide roadway parking and lot maintenance, fleet management, real property management, records management, document control, safeguards and security, and environmental safety, health and quality programs. The cost-plus award fee, firm-fixed price, cost-reimbursement no-fee contract also covers services related to engineering, training, mail, waste management and pollution prevention.
The contract includes a three-year base period and a two-year option. If the option period is exercised, the contract length will reach five years. The new deal supersedes the current infrastructure support services contract with Swift & Staley. The current contract ends on May 31, with potential extensions through Nov. 30.
