The National Information Technology Acquisitions and Assessment Center announced at a contract holder meeting Tuesday that it could issue a draft request for proposals for a follow-on $20B information technology procurement vehicle in March, Bloomberg Government reported Tuesday.
NITAAC, operated by the National Institutes of Health, will continue to administer the recompete of its Chief Information Officer“Solutions and Partners governmentwide contract vehicle.
Brian Goodger, associate director of the NIH Office of Logistics and Acquisition Operations, said the agency expects the center to release the final RFP notice by October.
NITAAC will use a self-scoring method for the CIO-SP4 contracting process and may require government certifications such as the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program, according to the report.
The center awarded a total of $6B to vendors via the CIO-SP3’s unrestrictred and small business tracks as well as the Chief Information Officer Commodity Solutions contract during fiscal 2019.
