The National Institutes of Health has awarded four companies spots on a potential five-year, $3.6 billion contract to support in-progress and new research projects, program implementation and other activities in support of the mission of the NIH’s biomedical research program.
Axle Informatics, GAP Solutions, Kelly Services and Medical Science & Computing will compete for task orders under the Scientific, Operations and Administrative Resources multiple-award, indefinite-quantity/indefinite-delivery contract, according to an award notice posted Monday on the beta SAM website.
The vendors will provide support services across several task areas under the SOAR program: clinical, basic and translational research support; professional administrative support to research efforts involving human, non-human and non-living subjects; and facility operations, maintenance, engineering and architecture support.
Support services may include providing assistance during experiments, organizing data and writing reports, offering scientific information technology services, supporting communication efforts related to research work and furnishing logistical or operational support.
Work will primarily occur in the Rockville-Bethesda, Maryland area. Place of performance may include other locations throughout the U.S. and Canada.
