David Johnson
David Johnson, a 36-year veteran of the U.S. Navy, has joined L3 Technologies (NYSE: LLL) senior vice president of strategy for the companys communications and networked systems business segment.
L3 said Tuesday the retired vice admiral will oversee the segments business development, systems engineering, initiatives and programs.
Johnson retired from the military in November 2018 after service as principal military deputy to the Navy’s assistant secretary for research, development and acquisition.
He previously commanded the Naval Undersea Warfare Center and as major program manager for the Virginia-class submarines, managed the Virginia-class submarine program and supported ship design, construction, modernization, maintenance and technology development efforts.
Sean Stackley, L3 corporate SVP and president of its communications and networked systems segment, said Johnson brings talent and experience in efforts to help defense customers address challenges.
