5 Companies to Share in $8B Navy Shipyard Infrastructure Optimization IDIQ Contract

The Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command has awarded five companies spots on a potential $8 billion contract to support military construction projects under the U.S. Navy’s Shipyard Infrastructure Optimization Program.

NAVFAC Pacific received six proposals for the multiple-award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract and is providing $2 million to each awardee to cover the contract’s minimum guarantee, the Department of Defense said Wednesday.

Contractors will compete for task orders to modernize infrastructure at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard in Hawaii and Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in Washington state.

Bechtel National, a Dragados-Hawaiian Dredging-Orion joint venture, ECC Infrastructure, a TPC-NAN joint venture, and a team of Kiewit and Alberici hold positions on the SIOP contract.
