Ten companies have won spots on a potential five-year, $644.1 million contract to provide non-complex emergent and continuous maintenance services for U.S. Navy surface combatant and amphibious ships that are visiting or stationed in Norfolk, Virginia.
The Navy received 13 offers for the multiple-award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract via a competitive procurement on FedBizOpps and obligated a total of $50,000 to the winning small businesses at the time of award as a minimum guarantee, the Defense Departmentsaid Monday.
DoD noted each contractor will provide facilities and personnel to maintain, repair and modernize the Navy’s surface vessels.
Contractors are also eligible to compete for individual delivery orders to support surface combatant and amphibious ships when the service branch identifies a requirement.
The awardees are
Advanced Integrated Technologies
Auxiliary Systems
Colonnas Shipyard
Continental Tide Defense Systems
East Coast Repair & Fabrication
Epsilon Systems Solutions
LPI Technical Services
Lyon Shipyard
Marine Hydraulics International
Tecnico
The contract has a $119.1 million initial value and the base period will run through September 2018.
Work will continue through September 2022 if all options are exercised, DoD added.
