The U.S. Navy has awarded firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contracts with a shared ceiling of $262.4 million to four Virginia-based companies to support repair, maintenance, modernization and sustainment for shipyard messing and berthing barges.
The contracts were awarded to East Coast Repair & Fabrication, Lyon Shipyard, BayTec Marine and Colonna’s Shipyard, the Department of Defense said Thursday.
The contracts were procured as a small business set-aside via the System for Award Management website. Eleven bids were received.
Work under the contracts will primarily be performed within a 50-mile radius of Norfolk, Virginia. The performance period is set to conclude by July 15, 2030.
The award amounts, inclusive of all ordering periods, are as follows:
East Coast Repair & Fabrication – $210.4 million
Lyon Shipyard – $211.3 million
BayTec Marine – $219.9 million
Colonna’s Shipyard Inc. – $262.4 million
The Navy obligated $12,000 in fiscal year 2025 operations and maintenance funds for each awardee for the minimum guarantee.
The Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center in Norfolk is the contracting activity.
