Four companies have won spots on a potential five-year, $124.5M contract to provide close air support to the specialized and proven aircraft program office within Naval Air Systems Command.
Contractors will compete for task orders to provide and operate geographically distributed regional aviation training platforms to support air operations, the Department of Defense said Tuesday.
The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division received seven offers for the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract through an electronic request for proposals and the service branch will distribute $40K to the winning firms at the time of award.
Fifty-percent of work will take place at Naval Air Station Fallon in Nevada and the remaining 50 percent will occur at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point in North Carolina and Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center Twenty-nine Palms in California.
