Navy Picks Six Firms for $200M HVAC System Construction, Repair Services Contract

Six companies have won spots on a potential five-year, $200M contract to build, renovate or repair heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems at multiple U.S. Navy and U.S. Marine Corps installations.

The Defense Department said Tuesday the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract contains two base years, followed by three one-year options, and all HVAC design-build projects will take place at government installations throughout Naval Facilities Engineering Command’s southwest area of responsibility.

NAVFAC Southwest received 19 proposals for the small business set-aside procurement effort via the Navy’s e-commerce website.

Able Heating and Air Conditioning

Astro Mechanical Contractors won the $1.6M initial task order to repair an HVAC system located at Naval Base Coronado’s H60 Simulator Facility in San Diego. The project is scheduled for completion on Dec. 19 of next year.
