The U.S. Navy has awarded positions on a potential $15 million contract to Cobham, Teledyne Technologies (NYSE: TDY) and EDO for the replacement of obsolete parts of the AN/ALQ-99F tactical jamming system.
The Defense Departmentsaid Tuesday contractors will compete for task orders to develop manufacture and test prototypes to replace outdated AN/ALQ-99F components.
Work location will be determined between Lansdale, Pennsylvania; Amityville, New York; and Rancho Cordova, California as task orders are issued.
The Naval Surface Warfare Center Crane received three offers for the contract through the Federal Business Opportunities website and obligated $3, 000 at the time of award from the service branch’s working capital funds.
