Navy Releases IT Support Services RFP for Small Businesses

The U.S. Navy has released a request for proposals on a potential five-year contract for information technology support services.

The Naval Supply Systems Command said in a FedBizOpps notice posted Tuesday the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract will be a set-aside program for service-disabled, veteran-owned small businesses and that it will accept proposals through Aug. 15.

NAVSUP seeks vendors that can deliver IT services to member organizations of the Naval Higher Education Information Technology Consortium, U.S. Naval Academy, Naval Postgraduate School and the Naval War College, according to a presolicitation notice posted in December on FedBizOpps.

The multiple-award contract covers computer network defense, applications, learning management systems, virtualization, enterprise information and architecture, service center services, multimedia educational technologies, system administration and architecture, visualization support, network engineering and maintenance as well as client hardware and lab services.

The IDIQ contract contains a base term of one year and four option years.

NAVSUP said it could award task orders in the form of firm-fixed-price and cost-plus-fixed-fee contracts.
