BAE Systems’ ship repair business and Fincantieri Marine Systems North America will compete for delivery orders under a potential five-year, $1.3 billion contract for LCS sustainment work, the Department of Defense said Friday.
The service has selected Austal’s U.S. arm, Colonna’s Shipyard, East Coast Repair & Fabrication, Epsilon Systems Solutions, General Dynamics’ (NYSE: GD) NASSCO-Mayport subsidiary, North Florida Shipyards and Tecnico for the second multiple-award contract with a ceiling value of $965 million.

Work includes chief of naval operations dry docking selected restricted availabilities, ship assessments, continuous maintenance, preventative/planned maintenance, corrosion control, emergent maintenance and facilities maintenance support.
The vendors will primarily perform contract work in Mayport, outside the continental U.S. and other contiguous U.S. locations through August 2026.
Naval Sea Systems Command received 16 bids for the multiple-award contracts and will obligate $10,000 in fiscal 2021 operation and maintenance funds to each vendor as a minimum guarantee per contract.
