Naval Sea Systems Command intends to extend the fifth ordering period and increase by $389 million the ceiling amount of multiple-award contracts for the sustainment of the U.S. Navy’s littoral combat ships homeported in San Diego.
The proposed increase will bring the total amount of the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contracts to $1.19 billion and extend work from February to October 2023 until the award of a follow-on effort, according to a notice posted Thursday on SAM.gov.
Nine companies provide facilities maintenance, corrosion control and sustainment of the LCS fleet under the MAC I contract award.
