The Naval Sea Systems Command is conducting market research to identify companies that can provide steel and aluminum boats, targets and service craft for the U.S. Navy and foreign military sales customers. NAVSEA intends to award 10-year contracts worth an estimated total of $3.5 billion for the boats and crafts, according to a request for information posted on SAM.gov.
Navy Service Craft and Boats Contract Details
Requirements include aluminum and steel oil spill response boom platforms, skimmers and utility boats; Naval Special Warfare surface support craft; force protection boats; dive support boats; range training support craft; high-speed maneuvering surface target; work boat docking; and various service craft.
Deliveries will be made to Navy stock points in San Diego, California; Williamsburg, Virginia; and other sites within and outside the continental United States.
The command plans to award 10-year, multiple-award contracts covering two categories: one reserved for small businesses and another open to all competitors. NAVSEA will utilize a request for delivery order proposals to streamline execution.
Interested parties may submit their capability statements until Oct. 14. NAVSEA will host a virtual Service Craft and Boats Multiple Award Contract Industry Day on Oct. 15.
