Jim Garrettson, CEO of Executive Mosaic and founder of government contracting’s highest honor, the Wash100 Award, hand-delivered the prize to first-time recipient Jane Rathbun in a recent meeting at the Department of Defense.
Rathbun serves as chief information officer of the Department of the Navy, a position she’s held since October 2023 and wherein she directs an annual spend of $12 billion.
Every year, the Wash100 Award celebrates GovCon sector leaders who EM’s discerning voting body deems the most influential, visionary, innovative and reliable in their field. Not only do winners boast accomplished résumés, they promise to play an instrumental role in shaping the future direction of the market.
“In her time in the role thus far, Jane has earned a reputation for championing zero trust, enabling cyber readiness, improving the warfighter experience and harnessing the power of commercial technology. Jane is an innovator and a disruptor who we’re proud to include in our Wash100 list this year,” enthused Garrettson.
Rathbun earned the award for her committed campaigns for new digital initiatives, as Garrettson mentioned, and her seamless takeover of the post from predecessor and fellow Wash100 winner Aaron Weis. Executive Mosaic congratulates Rathbun on her first Wash100 induction and is excited to watch her steer the information technology enterprise of the U.S. Navy!
