The Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command has selected six companies to compete for construction and engineering task orders to support the U.S. government’s emergency response missions worldwide under a potential $5 billion multiple-award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract.
Contractors will provide supervision services and the equipment, materials and labor needed to carry out civilian construction projects for the Department of Defense and other federal agencies, DOD said Thursday.
Work will also involve the establishment and management of material liaison offices to assist the operations of the naval construction force across the globe.
NAVFAC Atlantic received nine bids for the contract and will distribute $150,000 in minimum guaranteed award funds to all six contractors.
Task orders are structured either as cost plus award fee or firm fixed price and the overall performance period is scheduled to conclude by July 2029.
